SPECIAL ISSUE OF NEWS HONORS MEMORY OF A. GARR CRANNEY

History of Reading News. Vol.XIX No.1 (1995:Fall)

This issue of the History of Reading News is dedicated to the memory of A. Garr Cranney, longtime SIG member, officer, colleague, and friend. Garr, a professor of secondary education at Brigham Young University, died on August 28, 1995. The four-page insert was designed to tell of Garr's contributions to the SIG and to allow family, friends, and colleagues an opportunity to include their tributes to the memory of Garr. Also in this section is a reprint of, "Why Study the History of Reading?" which Garr wrote for an earlier issue of the News.
